About the place

WIELICZKA

Wieliczka, home to the world-famous Salt Mine listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, harmoniously blends centuries-old spa traditions with the cultural heritage of the region. The town’s calm atmosphere and proximity to Kraków create excellent conditions for rest, recovery and unhurried exploration.

What truly distinguishes this place is the microclimate of the underground salt chambers – a natural environment free from allergens, rich in humidity, with low levels of pollutants and the presence of salt aerosol. These remarkable underground conditions have made it possible to develop a dedicated pulmonary rehabilitation program.

About Us

The 'Wieliczka' Salt Mine Health Resort operates an underground treatment center and provides medical services in pulmonology, laryngology and allergology for both adults and children. Therapy carried out in the salt chambers supports individuals with bronchial asthma, COPD and bronchiectasis, chronic and recurrent respiratory infections, and allergy-related conditions.

Rehabilitation is complemented by treatments using natural brine sourced from the Wieliczka deposit. The therapeutic chambers offer stable low temperatures, high humidity, exceptionally clean air and beneficial ionization. The Health Resort also includes an extensive treatment base on the surface, where physiotherapy services are provided.
